Semi Final Shanghai Rolex Open; Andy Murray Challenged Kei Nishikori, Ferrer Face Lopez

Kei Nishikori withstood nine aces from the racquet of 12th seed Alexandr Dolgopolov of the Ukraine and saved six of seven break points for a 6-4, 6-3 victory at the Shanghai Rolex Masters. The highest-ranked Japanese player in the Open Era advanced to his first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 semi-final. His opponent in the semi-final on Saturday was the second seed Andy Murray, who beat Australian qualifier Matthew Ebden 6-3, 6-2. With these results, Murray has come closer to his dream to win the Asian title treble this year. Murray has a 52-11 match record on the season and has won 23 of his past 24 matches since mid-August.

Meanwhile, David Ferrer who had already been ensuring his place in the semi-finals after beating Andy from USA with 6 (5) -7, 6-2, 7-6 (2). Ferrer who have reached the semifinals eight times this season ATP World Tour, will face countryman Feliciano Lopez, who defeated Florian Mayer of Germany 6 -4 and 6-2. Mayer is in the quarterfinals beat top seed Rafael Nadal.
