Nikolay Davydenko advanced to the Kremlin Cup semi-finals. He beat German Michael Berrer with 6-3, 6-2. The 30-year-old Russian has won the Moscow title three times, 2004, 2006 and 2007. He takes 1 hour and 21 minutes to end the resistance of the no. 98 Rank.

The other results of Kremlin Cup quarterfinals are the second seeded Victor Troicki beat fifth-seeded American Alex Bogomolov Jr. In the semi-finals the Serbian will face Frenchman Jeremy Chard. The qualifier defeated Germany’s Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-4, 6-3. This is the first semi-final at the ATP World Tour 250 series since tahun2009.

Meanwhile, top seed Janko Tipsarevic beat another Russian tennis player who is also the sixth-seeded Dmitry Tursunov 6-4, 6-2. The Serb will be challenged by Nikolay Davydenko in the semi-finals held on October 22, 2011.
