Rivalries 2011 – Novak Djokovic v Rafael Nadal

During 2011 season, the top two players on the ATP World Tour contested six finals, with Djokovic not only winning all six, but also claiming Nadal’s No. 1 crown in the South African Airways ATP Rankings.

“This guy is doing unbelievable things, so I just want to congratulate Novak,” said Nadal after defeat in the US Open final. “What he did this year is probably impossible to repeat. I tried my best in every moment. This year I’ve lost a lot of finals against him. I have to accept I won a lot in the past and the only thing I can do is to try my best every day to keep improving.”

Here are the results of all those games:

Indian Wells Final Djokovic 46 63 62
Miami Final Djokovic 46 63 76(4)
Madrid Final Djokovic 75 64
